Not at all! The welding process is quick and painless. The welder never touches your skin.

Can children get permanent jewelry?
Yes. A parent or legal guardian must be present and provide consent for minors receiving permanent jewelry. (Considerations for utilizing a clasp should be made if child participates in sports)

Do I need an appointment?
Appointments are required for visits to the MaxsonMade home studio in Milford, Ohio. You can book an available time through the website. You can also visit MaxsonMade at local pop-ups and events without an appointment.
Can I bring a friend to my appointment?
Absolutely! Permanent jewelry is even more fun together. Feel free to book with a friend or family member for matching or coordinating pieces.

Private Parties
Can I host a private permanent jewelry party?
Absolutely! Permanent jewelry is perfect for girls’ nights, birthdays, bridal events, celebrations, or simply getting friends together.
How do I request a private party, and is there a host perk?
Send a request through the Contact page with your preferred date and time, location, estimated number of guests, type of event, and any other details you’d like me to know. I’ll follow up to confirm availability.

Care, Removal & Repairs
How should I care for my permanent jewelry?
Your jewelry can be worn during normal daily activities, including showering. Keep it clean and avoid harsh chemicals whenever possible. Sterling silver may tarnish under certain conditions (heavily chlorinated pools and hot tubs; natural hot springs, well water, and sometimes even pH of customer skin). Sterling can be cleaned or polished to restore its shine.
Can permanent jewelry be removed?
Yes! If you need or want to remove your jewelry, simply cut the jump ring connecting the chain with scissors or small wire cutters or nail clips. Save your chain if you’d like to have it rewelded later.
What happens if my permanent jewelry breaks?
If your jewelry breaks at the weld within 48 hours, MaxsonMade will reweld it free of charge. Permanent jewelry is still jewelry, so the chain itself can break if it is pulled, caught, or damaged. Damage to the chain may not be repairable.

Yes! You can add charms or connectors to your MaxsonMade jewelry later to personalize or update your piece.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes! MaxsonMade gift cards are available and can be used toward permanent jewelry, charms, and connectors.
What is your return policy?
Because each piece is custom-sized and cut specifically for you, permanent jewelry purchases are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.
